Faith Lutheran Church has an active youth program for children as young as three years old up through and including high school age. Our FLYers (Faith Lutheran Youthers) youth program strives to help all our children grow in their relationship with God; to give them a place where they belong among a community of peer believers; and to provide a larger support network of fellow students and adults in order to constructively deal with the every day stresses of childhood and adolescence.
Little FLYers
Ages 3 through Grade 2
This group creates an opportunity for our youngest kids to strengthen their ties to the church. It unites them with friends at Faith and offers an opportunity to make new friends from outside the church – and it nurtures these relationships with a variety of fun activities throughout the year.
Mighty Gs FLYers
Grades 3 through 5
We offer several opportunities for upper elementary age children to interact casually and introduce friends to their church family with fun activities scheduled through the course of the year.
Junior FLYers
Grades 6 through 8
For this age group, Faith Lutheran believes that it’s critical to balance doctrinal classes (such as Sunday School and Confirmation classes) with social activities where kids can have fun and develop relationships both with adult leadership and other Christian children from our own church and others. Activities are offered on a monthly basis and usually during a Saturday or Sunday so that the school week is not impacted.
Senior FLYers
Grades 9 through 12
The senior high youth are involved members of the congregation both inside and outside the church. They also serve the church body by assisting with various activities for the younger children and provide positive role models for our younger FLYers. This group gets together for monthly activities during the school year and weekly during the summer.
College and beyond
A variety of activities are available for our college-age kids as well as recent college grads. These include fellowship and fun as the church Christmas tree is decorated, and various opportunities to get together over the summer.
