Faith Lutheran offers some terrific ways to channel your talents with a variety of artistic ministry opportunities.
Music
Seasonal choir ensembles
Each year prior to Christmas and Easter, our choir ensemble gathers to prepare to celebrate the Lord in song. If you’re high school age or older, can read music, and enjoy singing, you are encouraged to audition. For more information, contact Becky Metschke.
Vocal Teams
Vocal teams aid in worship leading both services on Sunday mornings.
Instrumentalists
Our praise band adds so much to worship! As the church grows and additional services are added, there will be a need for more musicians. If you’re a competent keyboardist, guitarist, bass player or drummer and have an interest in participating, contact Cheryl Kjendal or Becky Metschke. If you play another instrument and are interested in music ministry, let us know! There are ample opportunities as we continue to build this important aspect of worship.
Drama
This is a ministry that is being explored. It’s our desire to incorporate drama into worship services. If you’re gifted in this area and interested in participating, please contact the church office.
Liturgical Dance
Liturgical dance is a beautiful way to lift the hearts and minds of the congregation; gesture, movement and dance become forms of prayer and ministry. Currently, dance groups for a variety of ages have been established. If you’d like to participate, contact Lori Nathan.
Technical Ministries
Media, lighting, sound, video, audio, recording...there is always much to do to make the words and the message “come alive.” Our desire is to use current technology to enhance the worship experience in such a way that it helps everyone in the congregation focus upon God. We are blessed with some great people who feel called to this ministry, but again, as our church grows, there will be more opportunities for those with experience in this area or a desire to be trained.
