Where is the church located?
Faith Lutheran is at the corner of Elm and Maple Streets in downtown Exeter. We’re adjacent to the Academy. For detailed directions, click here. For information regarding parking, click here.
When are the worship services?
You can choose from two Sunday morning services during the school year - 8:00am and 10:30am. Over the summer months, service times are 8:00am and 9:30am.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. You’ll see that some people are in suits and dresses, some are “business casual,” and others are in jeans. You’ll fit in no matter what!
What should I expect in church?
You will be warmly welcomed, but we also respect your privacy. We won’t ask you to stand up and identify yourself as a visitor, and we won’t pounce on you as you come in or as you leave!
Our services are a contemporary expression of Christianity’s traditions – and music is a major feature of our worship. We’ve got a terrific praise band featuring piano, bass, drums, lead guitar and vocalists, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to sing along as we worship the Lord with great, upbeat songs. From time to time we also include traditional hymns and a choral ensemble so there’s a little bit of something for everyone, whatever your musical taste may be.
During the service, tithes and offerings will be received from members. It pays the bills, but it’s also a form of worship. As our guest, you’re not expected to put anything in the offering plate so don’t feel obligated to give.
What about my kids?
Children are always welcome at Faith Lutheran Church. They can either sit with you, or, if they’re very young, we have a staffed nursery available during each service. Pastor will have a special children’s message and song for the kids each week, and your children are welcome to participate in Sunday School after church.
What happens after church?
If you visit the 8:00am service, you’re invited to join us for coffee and refreshments following the service in our lower level family room. At 9:15am, we offer Sunday School and Bible Study for all ages; you are more than welcome to attend!
Is the church accessible for the handicapped?
Yes. The ramp and entrance are on the Maple Street side of the building.
